How to delete your BDU IAI Announcements account
This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data for the Android app
BDU IAI Announcements (package com.arpan.iai_announcements), published by Blu Dragon Actuarial.
Option 1 — delete it yourself, inside the app
- Open BDU IAI Announcements and sign in.
- Tap the account icon in the top-right of the home screen.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
Email bludragonactuarial@gmail.com from the address
registered to your account, with the subject Delete my IAI Announcements account.
We action these within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes all of the following, with no retention period:
- Your username, email address and mobile number
- Your actuarial society (IAI or IFoA) and member ID
- Your display name
- Your stored password hash
- Your app enrolment record
- The notification token for your device, so push notifications stop
What is kept, and why
Nothing personal is kept. Announcement text and PDFs shown in the app are public documents published by
the Institute of Actuaries of India; they are not your data and are unaffected by deletion.
Server request logs may retain an IP address for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention,
after which they are discarded. These logs are not linked to your account once it is deleted.
Note
Deletion cannot be undone. If you reinstall the app later you will need to sign up again.
Deleting your account here does not affect any other Blu Dragon app you may use.
